Northbourne Private Wealth is an independent, fee-based financial advisory concept for Australian and expat families navigating retirement, growth and life transitions. The brief: replace the assumption that "financial advice" means product-pushing with a calm, credible authority site that proves fiduciary standing in seconds and turns that trust into booked Discovery Calls — for a practice advising $1.2B across 600+ portfolios.
Financial advice is one of the highest-trust, highest-stakes purchases a website has to sell. Visitors arrive sceptical — worried about commissions, jargon, and being sold products they don't need — and most advisor sites do nothing to address that before asking for a booking.
Goals
The design leads with editorial warmth rather than corporate stock-photo finance: a serif display face paired with a clean sans-serif, a calm neutral palette, and real portrait photography instead of handshake clichés. Every trust signal — fiduciary badge, AFSL number, CFP® and FAAA credentials — is surfaced above the fold rather than buried in a footer.
The three-service model (Financial Planning, Superannuation & Retirement, Insurance Advice) is presented as parallel entry points rather than a nested menu, with the most-requested service flagged so first-time visitors have a default path. A three-step "How it works" timeline — Discovery Call, Strategy & Recommendations, Ongoing Partnership — sets expectations before the ask, and a verified client testimonial closes the trust loop.
A focused authority site built in Webflow: a hero with dual CTAs (Book a Discovery Call / Explore services), a floating fiduciary-standard badge and funds-advised stat card, a trust bar with four hard metrics, three service cards with individual sub-CTAs, a three-step process timeline, a verified testimonial with retention proof, and a closing CTA banner offering both a call booking and a lower-friction email enquiry. The footer carries the compliance architecture an AFSL-authorised practice needs — Financial Services Guide, Privacy Policy, Adviser Register and AFCA complaints pathway — built directly into the CMS-ready structure.
